Pokémon items! Dream_Potion_Sprite

Items

There are lots of items in the Pokémon series—some are staples in battles such as Poké Balls, Potions, or Revives—while some others are more competitive or for things like evolution (Mega Stones and Evolutionary Stones/held items).

That all being said, what's your personal favourite Pokémon item out there? =) Why do you like it? And do you have a least favourite Pokémon item?

Pokémon items! Empty Re: Pokémon items!

I've got a few favourite items myself, I'll list them here with some explainations.

Moon Ball - My favourite type of poke ball. Despite it being one of the least useful types of poke ball, only being more effective on pokemon that evolve with the moon stone, I really like it's design.  I like the Moon so anything that has the word Moon in its name of incorporates a lunar design get's my vote Very Happy

Moon Stone - I like this evolution stone for similar reasons to liking the Moon Ball, also one of my favourite pokemon Clefairy evolves into Clefable using this stone.

Focus Sash - This is my favourite held item because of it's use in allowing glass cannon pokemon to survive an attack with 1 HP when at full health that would have caused a KO in ordinary circumstances.

Sacred Ash - The utimate healing item, only one of which can be obtained from Ho-Oh in GSCHGSS, it quite literally heals all pokemon fainted or otherwise in the player party to full health.

Old Sea Map - The event item in pokemon emerald that allowed the player to sail to Faraway Island where the mythical pokemon Mew could be found.  Faraway Island was cool location and Mew being my favourite pokemon is reason enough for me to like this item Smile
Athough the Old Sea Map was never officially released outside of Japan, it could be obtained in the international releases of Emerald through hacking.

????? (Surfboard Gen I) - If glich/dummied out items are allowed I'd also like to give a special mention to the surfboard item in gen I which had the name ?????.  This item allowed the player to surf on water in much the same way as when the player has a pokemon use the move Surf in the overworld, however no badge was required to use this item as was the case with the move itself.  This item was only availble through glitching or hacking and may have been a development item left over by the games developers.
