Boss Battles
Hey guys, I am going to post each level's boss here. (Also, do you want levels that are very hard or just a little hard?)
Grassy Outskirts Boss:
Malice: The Jester of Ethos
Strategy:
Hits to defeat: 32
phase 1:
Malice will start by raining cards all over the field and you have to dodge them. Malice will then bring out bombs to juggle around. You have to knock them all back to malice before they hit you. if all 3 bombs are knocked back to Malice, he will be immobile for a few seconds. Attack him as much as you can when he is in this state
phase 2:
After you take 1/2 of his health away, cover the battlefield in a circus tent and you have to reach above the tightrope to battle him. He will shoot cards at you, which you will have to dodge and he will cover himself in cards to protect himself. While he is shooting cards, you also have to avoid the bouncing balls that will deal heavy damage if you touch them. The only way to get past Malice's card armor, you have to launch cannonballs at him in the circus, destroying his armor. After, he will stop attacking with cards and will fight you head on. Just dodge his attacks and hit him.
(Was this boss too easy or hard? Please give your opinion)

Re: Boss Battles
It sounds decently easy, but that's good. The first boss should always be pretty easy.

Re: Boss Battles
Sorry, but how do I make the next boss fights challenging? pretty much that is the hardest I can make Mossbeard to be. So should I just adjust damage to 1/2 of your health or just add more attacks? What about ohko on all attacks?

Re: Boss Battles
I think Mossbeard is good for a first boss. Maybe introduce OHKOs for the last boss, and just gradually increase hits needed and damage you receive for every boss.

Re: Boss Battles
Depends on how fast and how often the shovel flies, I guess. Sounds decently easy but it is the first boss.

Re: Boss Battles
Cursed Forest Boss:
Owlight: A large predator owl feared for devouring humans with it's method of slicing up the body with it's knife-like talons. It's eyes glow brightly, letting it see in the dark of the night.
Strategy:
Hits to defeat: 10
Phase 1:
Owlight is the only source of light in the room, so he will turn himself off to blind you in the darkness (Keep in mind that you will still see your character except everything in the background will be black. Feathers will fall to the floor and Owlight will dash after you depending on where the feathers fall from. If Owlight dashes into you, you lose 1/2 your health. He will also slash you with his talons which take away 1/4 of your health. If you dodge all these attacks, Owlight will think something is going wrong and will open his eyes, lighting up the room. Dont let him see you, or else he will ohko you immediately by stabbing you with his sword talons, you can avoid this ko attack by hitting him when he is not looking at you. Owlight will turn off the lights again and the process repeats.
Phase 2:
Owlight will start to switch things up by shooting feathers on the whole floor. These feathers will take 99% of your health away, so you have to heal up immediately since there is no way to avoid it. Owlight will also fly offscreen to aim a ohko claw slash at you. If you dodge the attack, Owlight will get stuck on the platform and will try to pry out, but this is your chance.

Re: Boss Battles
Also, the shovel trhowing attack will ohko you, is that hard enough? Sorry, I just want all the bosses to be very hard since the other nintendo bosses were too easy. Also, the vine attack will be very fast and more likely to get you binded.

Re: Boss Battles
well, yes, because the dash is like a brave bird. But dont worry, you get 3 health packs for each level. Health packs are like extra lives, except you get revived quickly, just like using a reviver seed in myster dungeon.

Re: Boss Battles
Hood Alleys Boss:
Roguecoon: A raccoon that has entered Soyuuk city to bribe other monsters to do it's bidding.
Strategy:
hits to defeat: 6
Phase 1:
Roguecoon will hide in one of the three trash cans in the arena. It will pop out to throw random junk at you. The following objects he throws are:
Soda Cans - 1/8 of your health (also causes poison status condition)
Worn-out books - 1/5 of your health
Eaten Fish - 1/5 of your health (also causes spike status condition, it means you take lose 1/16 of hp for every second until the condition wears off)
Brick - 1/2 of your health (also causes immobility status condition)
After Roguecoon is done throwing the junk, he comes out of the trash can and calls his minions, which each deal 1/4 damage to you. After you defeat his minions, he will appear on the platform, ready to fight. Avoid his pounce, it will ohko you, but other than that, just avoid it by attacking him. The process repeats.
Phase 2:
Roguecoon will transform from tiny to monstrous and large. In this phase, he cant be damaged normally. He will throw various other pieces of garbage at you that will all deal even heavier damage than the last ones. After that, he will try to charge into you, which will ohko you. But avoid this and he will bump into a brick wall, damaging him. Repeat this process and the fight is over

Re: Boss Battles
Tropical Coast Boss:
Dread: The Royal Hunter of Ethos
hits to defeat: 32
strategy:
Phase 1: Dread will be inside the Runeshadow submarine, so you cannot attack him for now. He will drop bombs on you from the submarine, so just dodge them. After he is done dropping bombs, he will dash the submarine in front of you, be careful because the rotor blades will ohko you. Just use the bubble skill you learned in the earlier part of the level to trap him in a bubble. Get inside the bubble to get inside the submarine.
Dread will be inside and he will assault you rapidly, so you have to use your parkour skills to dodge them. Once he is tired, you can hit him as many times as you want before he recovers and ejects you from the submarine, repeating the process.
Phase 2:
Dread's submarine will start spewing out toxic oil, so the bubble trapping skill is useless now. The submarine will then drill into the ground so that it will attack you from below. Once you dodge, you can attack the submarine to malfunction it, causing the oil to go away. Trap it with the bubble again and go inside. Dread will change up the battle by setting the lights out in the dark. You will have to react to the shining blades he will throw at you by using parkour. The lights will come back on and you will have to fight him similarly in phase 1, but he will also dodge your attacks too.

Re: Boss Battles
well, it charges for some time and dashes instantly at you, so you have enough time to dodge. But in phase 2, the charging time is decreased...

sounds very hard, and that boss can dodge your attack too in phase 2. Does that mean it is like ultra hard?

Re: Boss Battles
Or maybe on second thought, he can dodge an infinite # of times, but he cannot dodge a monster soul attack that can attack everything around the stage. You know, just to make use of the monster soul mechanic.
Also, have you read that Oduko and Nari are now going to be fused one character? You can read it in the off topic section.
