Bordline of OU Empty Bordline of OU

Bordline pokemon is pokemon that are not OU usage but are too good for UU. Those pokemon are considered BL (bordline).

Crawdaunt
Bordline of OU 250px-342Crawdaunt

HP: 63
Attack: 120
Defense: 85
Sp. Atk: 90
Sp. Def: 55
Speed: 55
Most common set:

Crawdaunt @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Crabhammer
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Jet

Crawdaunt's stats might seem low, but the ability adaptability made it a fearsome wallbreaker. For the ones that don't know, adaptability makes the pokemon's STAB modifier becomes 2x.

Keldeo resists knock off, let's see how much it does
252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Keldeo: 142-168 (43.9 - 52%) -- 12.5% chance to 2HKO

Usage tips: Try to get it a safe switch in, crawdaunt is very frail and it doesn't even take resisted hits very well. Get it a safe switch in on a pokemon that it can force out and let it do signifant damage

Diggersby
Bordline of OU 250px-660Diggersby

HP: 85
Attack: 56
Defense: 77
Sp. Atk: 50
Sp. Def: 77
Speed: 78

Most Common Set

Diggersby @ Life Orb/Focus Sash
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant/Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Return
- Quick Attack
- Swords Dance/Fire punch

Like crawdaunt, diggersby also has not so good stats. But huge power, made it a good wallbreaker. Huge power makes a pokemon's attack doubles (the actual attack not base stat). So diggersby's 56 attack works the same as 161 attack.

Usage tip: This set can wallbreak in early game and clean up at later game. It is not easy to set up with that bulk, so try to set up on defensive pokemon like chansey.

Mega Gallade
Bordline of OU Mega_gallade_art

HP: 68
Attack: 165
Defense: 95
Sp. Atk: 65
Sp. Def: 115
Speed: 110

Most common set:
Gallade-Mega (M) @ Galladite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat /Drain Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- Ice Punch  /Knock Off/Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance

Mega gallade has a great attack and a good speed, making it a nice sweeper. It has access to swords dance makes it a great late game clean upper.

Usage Tips: Mega evolve it as soon as possible, you want the boost in its speed early. It has a nice special bulk, so it can switch into special moves sometimes. Don't switch into a strong knock off even it does have justify as a normal gallade. Gallade has a pitful physical defence and it does not appreciate even 65 BP knock off.

Other BL pokemon coming up!
