Best non legendary rock type pokemon after tyranitar
We will talk about who's the strongest rock type pokemon in pokemon games (legendary and tyranitar doesn't count). Legendary doesn't count because arceus rock and terrikion are too obvious, tyranitar doesn't count also because it is too obvious. If you are saying a pokemon is the best, pleas have legit reasons. All reasons have to be related to stats, ability, movests, typing. Any reasons like anime and design does not count.
I will start. In my opinion, tyrantrum would be the best non legendary rock type after tyranitar. Tyrantrum has a nice 121 attack, combined with stab head smash, it hits pretty hard. It has the ability rock head to prevent recoil damage from head smash. After a single dragon dance, it becomes fairly powerful. Tyrantrum has coverages like earthquake and superpower to get pass steel types, which would have give it a lot of trouble.
Runner up will be shuckle. It has an amazing defense of 20/230/230, and contrary shell smash to boost its defence. It has nice support moves like sticky web, stealth rock, encore and knock off for utility. The reason I put it below tyrantrum is shuckle lacks a reliable recovery move and is taunt bait. If shuckle is run without toxic, it is also set up bait.

Tyrantrum is also a good hazard setter if used correctly. Stealth Rock, then use Dragon Tail with massive attack stat. Head Smash and Dragon Dance combined with Rock Head can sweep whole teams (if Head Smash has six PP).

Good point, considering it also has a nice physical defense
